Help with gift for husband

Help with gift for husband

My husband has always been an outdoorsy type. He’s recently been more dedicated in his bucket list for high pointing and has been going on regular backpacking trips. Usually he does 1-2 long backpacking trips a year and then will go day hiking about every 2-3 months. He only wear his work construction boots on his hikes and I want to get him a pair of nice hiking shoes for him. I am completely lost when I look at options. I remember when we did the high point in Minnesota and just watching his ankles bend all over the place so I would like something that can support his ankles. Here’s what I’m looking for.
– waterproof
– good support for a variety of terrains
– good for day hiking and backpacking: his pack is an 8L and he maybe holds 30# in it

I saw these shoes and wanted to see your thoughts and am open to suggestions
