I’m itching to go on an all day hike, but it is hot as hell where I live.

What do you nature loving folks do to scratch the hike itch when the weather is not exactly conducive to a high amount of exertion?

It will be 36° Celcius (96.8 Fahrenheit) in my region in Australia tomorrow. I want to go on a hike soon but I've hiked in this sort of humid and hot weather before and it was not fun.

Absolutely dying to see some moss and waterfalls soon though.

I feel better not eating before or during a hike

I feel better not eating before or during a hike

Is that normal? Or is there something wrong with me? I feel uncomfortable even eating something light 40 mins or an hour before or during a hike. The longest hike I’ve done without eating anything before or immediately afterwards was the Mist Trail in Yosemite. I think it’s like 7 miles rt? I started from Happy Isles or something like that and ended up walking all the way back to Yosemite Lodge afterwards. Anyways, I didn’t eat before or during that hike and felt fine and even a bit after a while. Is that okay for my body?
