Thankful to be able to hike

A little over 3 weeks ago I ended up in the emergency room with a blood clot in my leg. I was able to get out this weekend for a short 2 and 1/2 mile hike and I will tell you I’ve never been happier to be on the trail . I’ve never experienced anything like this blood clot before and for the 1st couple of weeks it was hard for me to believe I could get out there this quickly but I’m just sharing as I damn near had tears in my eyes as I hike the trail with my wife and other best friend our dog .

Minnesota is not the first place you’d think to hike, but it has some lovely day trails (Sandstone bluffs trail, Taylor Falls)
