travel and rhum

Hi guys, im from the UK and have done a decent amount of hikes around the South half of the UK and want to go to try some of the more adventurous hikes on mainland Europe. Im looking to do a long weekend (3 or 4 days) at some point in either early summer or in October and have thought it worth asking for any advice on locations as with a shorter timeframe its looking quite limited logistically.

The two main places ive looked are mainland Greece and Switzerland (for the via ferratas). Does anyone have anywhere they recommend for a long weekend.
