I just wanted to say how much hiking has improved my life and future.

This was the person I was before: skinny, out-of-shape, feening for my next vape hit, waking up late and watching TikTok all day. I got out of breath walking up the stairs of my local train station. I was always feeling sick from the constant dose of nicotine. I cared a lot about how people perceived me.

Who am I now? I feel a passion for life. There's a newfound appreciation for the simplicity yet complexity to nature that I've always overlooked. The most beautiful and memorable moments in my life so far have been on the trail and I've only just gotten into hiking this year.

I've been walking more and more. I eat to stay healthy. I've quit vaping and I've never felt better. I have more energy, I've gained more weight, and I have more strength. I can walk to the top of the stairs without getting out of breath now. I've quit all short-form media and I can feel my mind coming back into my control. I've got more self-discipline as a result.

Hiking is such a treasure. All the trials and tribulations that mother nature makes us endure is all rewarded with the beauty of the destination. It's humbling and empowering at the same time. I've never respected my own body as much as I do now. I'm in my 20s but I'm making it my mission to be fit enough to hike even in my 70s.
