It’s been awhile, but I feel my next hiking adventures will be with 6 feet

Hiking and backpacking have always brought me such peace and wonderful memories. I haven't been in a while (many years), but want to get back into it. However, I'd rather not do it alone (I'm single, not married, etc.) So, I've decided to eventually rescue a "trail buddy" pup from a local shelter and have a bunch of adventures together. Essentially, I'm tired of people. Give me my two feet, my pup's 4 paws, and a trail, and the world will be right as rain…(at least for a little while)

I love hiking on my own with my dogs (2 of them) and going for a pint in a pub after, however I always feel weird taking my dogs to the toilets with me. Am I overthinking it and no one cares?

I will never leave them tied up on my table while I go to the bathroom for fear of someone taking them, I know it’s so unlikely but if it happened it’s long term relationship over when she finds out they were taken because I left them tied to my bar table unaccompanied
