How to stop face from getting red and sweaty fast during hiking?
I have no problem in flat areas, but as soon as it gets uphill, my face becomes red and it gets extremely sweaty. It is just my face, my body is not that sweaty. And as soon as it gets flat, sweating stops. It is almost like as soon as the road gets uphill, sweat glands in my face get triggered.
I am from a place where hiking is very popular. It is a valley and people go for morning walks (6 to 10kms) everyday, including my family. I have classes in the morning, so I can't go in the morning for walks, but I do exercise and go in the evenings when climate is nice. But because I sweat a lot in my face and I look like a tomato, people assume I am having a hard time.
It is like every time walking is involved, people (my parents) will say "You won't be able to do it, you get red and sweaty so much!" I have given up on trying to convince that I am ok, my face is the problem, I am not tired, I have enough stamina to walk more than them.
Plus I get pain in my knees if I don't stretch before walking. So, I need time to get ready to go to walk if I go in the mornings. But my family is the type to go on walk immediately after waking up, they are out of the house in less than 20 minutes of waking and because of this too they look down on me.
Please give me suggestions, other than trying to talk to them or going on walks with them to prove myself because I have done both and it didn't work.
