50k hike in 2.5 months


50k hike in 2.5 months

Hello all,

I’m 35F, normally run 5-7k 5x per week but can “easily” do 10-15k. Last year I started to hike (longest being around 13k) and thought about joining a 50k hike in 2.5 months time. I’m overall healthy.

Is it possible to train for the 50k hike in 2.5 months? What should I focus on? Will running longer distances be enough? I have no expectation regarding time, there are around 12 hours to finalize the full hike and there will be water and snacks along the way but I would also bring my own. The route will pass beautiful landscapes but I would expect some hills. Dog would come along.

5 day hike Dolomites Alta Via 2

Looking for a 5 day hut to hut itinerary on the Alta Via 2 in the Dolomites. From what I have read online they are all mainly 10-12 days. Myself and friends only have 5 days and I can't really work out the best place to start and finish to make it easy to get public transport back and forth from Venice on the same day as the start and finish days. Any helps or resource recommendations would be appreciated!
