Hiking in the winter with a 9-5

Hiking in the winter with a 9-5

I took up hiking as a hobby this past spring and summer and it’s become a big part of my life. It helps me with a lot of my mental health issues and it just really keeps me going. Now that it’s fall and the days are getting shorter I’m getting super nervous about not having any time to hike during the week. I work from 9-5 everyday (like most people) and soon it will be too dark in the morning and after work to get any hiking in. I know this is an issue a lot of people (hikers or not) face, but I’m new to both hiking and working 9-5 and I’m just not sure how to deal with this. The idea of not getting any time outdoors during the week really gets me down. Any tips on dealing with it or maximizing daylight hours during the week?

I know this is how the world works and most people deal with a lack of time outdoors during the winter, so please keep any negativity about my question to yourself. I’m just asking for a little advice. Thank you 🙂
