Update from previous post(which kinda blew up)

Update from previous post(which kinda blew up)
Based on multiple suggestions on the previous post to go on a practice hike before the original hike, I decided to get going.
I first went on a 2 hour, 5 mile hike (no breaks and 120m/490ft elevation/descent) and was able to do it quite easily. Muscles were a little sore, but that was expected as I hadn’t been physically active before.
Next, I went on a 4 hour, 10 mile hike with 300 metres/964 foot ascent/descent). This was a bit more challenging and I was much more tired by the end of it but could easily see myself going for another hour or so.
I was really surprised by the results because I received a lot of discouraging comments from “experienced hikers” who told me that I just shouldn’t go for the original hike for so and so reasons. I almost believed them but thankfully there were many other comments encouraging me and giving me suggestions on how to go about it and I cannot be more grateful to them. ❤️
Based on how I’ve done in these two hikes, surely I’m gonna be able to do alright on a 6 hour, 12 mile hike with 500 foot /ascent/descent this sunday, eh?
