I look for approach shoe with wide toebox, zero drop sole and with climbing zone for occasional scrambling. Rigid sole is also welcome. Do you have any recommendation?

Thoughts on doing the same hikes over and over again?
So this year I've found hiking becoming my primary hobby, and so I've started taking it more seriously by training on off days and hiking more often in general. However, I find myself less motivated to hike the same trails again. I live in an area with probably about 50 day hikes in the vicinity, but I've done most of them and I've had to start repeating some over again. It just seems less exciting to do the same trails more than once.
Can anybody relate to this? Any thoughts on how to handle that sort of thing?

hiking solo advice
hi all!
im a 21 year old female who has recently fallen in love with hiking. the bad part is that I have no one in my life who enjoys hiking as much as i do or they just would not go on certain hikes that I’d like to go on. which leaves me no option besides going by myself 🙂
im looking for good advice on how to do so safely. ive looked online and of course know the basics (first aid, maps, etc) but was wondering if anyone had any additional advice. most of my fears are mental, meaning im worried about running into a bad person who might try to harm me, im way too afraid of getting lost (the hike i attempted before was 3 miles, i turned around about a mile in because i got so petrified I’d lose my way. the trail was covered in leaves but distinguishable). im just needing ways to keep myself safe and guaranteeing i get back to my car after the hike.
ive been doing loop trails for quite some time because it gives me a bit more comfort knowing that its all one circle and ill make it back eventually. straight trails are a bit more nerve wracking for me, though.
thanks

How do y’all survive daylight savings time in the USA?
ETA: daylight savings time ending is what I meant!
Hi all! I’m a casual hiker and love spending my weekends and time after work outdoors, but with daylight savings time ending here (not even fully feeling it, yet!) the sun sets at 4:45 in the evening- meaning it’s dark by the time I leave work! How do y’all make it through the winter months until we “spring ahead”? I struggled a lot with this last winter and found myself in quite a slump. Would love to hear what those of y’all dealing with shorter days do to cope! I miss being outside every day already! 🙂
